Ingvild Bolme Miniature

I got a request for a wedding card and I was totally out of ideas, so I decided to shrink a LO that I made at a Ingvild Bolme class.
I LOVE the design on the LO and really like the way the small version turned out as well.

I used Prima designpapers, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts that got a touch of Stickles Star Dust, letters from prima, the big text stamp inside is from Stempelglede and the Amor Vincit Omnia from Panduro. The image is from Minne-hjørnet, and I made a frame for it with a stamp from Waltzing Mouse Stamps. Stamped with Distress Stormy Sky and then added som Stickles Star Dust.

Dad's album #1; Babygirl

My dear father turned 71 this summer and I wanted to make something special for him, with mostly pictures of my brother and me, something he would always treasure, and decided to make an 8,5" album. (quite a lot more work than I imagined, but so much fun... )

I'll be showing the LO's one by one, so that I have something to post on a day with less productivity... ;)

This first one is one of my favorites, but maybe for me, the hardest one to do. I wanted it to be pretty much all white, but had to give in on the picture and letters.

I've used Bazill cardstock and then dies from Cuttlebug, Magnolia and Marianne Design. I've used a Martha Stewart punch and an embossing folder from Sizzix. Alle the different ribbons are from Bikuben and pearls from Wild Orchid Crafts. I sewed around the edge with my Sew Easy.

I'm entering this LO in the following challenges:

The Shabby Tea Room - Vintage White
Hanna and Friends - Anything goes
OLLCB - Punches/dies
Fab 'n' funky - It's a hard theme
Simon Says Stamp - Dies to Die for

LO; our perfect day

I got new Prima goodies in the mail a few days ago, from my new favourite eBay store; Clearence Grabber, and the inspiration just came flowing! I've been wanting to do more LO's from our wedding, and this was perfect...
The photo of the LO is not very good, but I'm posting it non the less. :)

Here I've used a Prima mask on the white Bazill cardstock - actually pretty much everything on the LO is Prima, eccept the charms and metal embellishments. The camera is from kuttut.no, the little birdcage is The Girls Paperie and I got it on eBay, the watch face is vintage from eBay and the lace is from Scrappiness. The butterfly is Bo Bunny and some of the small roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts. White Thickers foam letters and Websters Storyteller.

I'm entering this LO in the following challenges:

My time to Craft"L" is for ... LO, Love, Light blue, Leaves
Hanna and Friends - Anything goes

Suitcase full of gratitude.

I've talked about this amazing girl before, my sweet sweet niece, and this time it was her "confirmation" day. She is such a mature and loving person and not at all like any other 15 year old I know, and she decided that the gifts was not a good enough reason to have a confirmation, (and here in Norway, that's pretty much the only reason people do it - I know that was my reason once upon a time...)
So the family decided that a better reason to throw a party is hard to find. She gave it up for all the right reasons and because of that she deserved it even more.
She was also the toastmaster at our wedding 1 month ago and we wanted to give her something as a thank you from us.
We got her a gift certificate and I made a suitcase to put it in, a hard challenge, but really fun too.

I found the totorial for this amazing little gem in the last issue of the Magnolia Ink Magazine. I've used cardstock from Biltema and design papers from Papirdesign. The motif on the outside is Lily of the Valley, colored with Copics. Inside is a mini Magnolia, also colored with Copics. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima. The dies used are Spellbinders. Embellishments are from Kort og Godt, Tim Holtz and Scrappiness. Bling swirl is Prima and butterfly punch is EKSuccess.

I'm entering this project in the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Dies to die for
Die Cut Dreams - Flower Power
Fab 'n 'funky - It's a hard theme
My time to craft - 'L' is for ; Lily of the valley, lock, "leather", leaves
OLLCB - Punches/dies
One stop Craft - Girlie

Mormor 1924

My wonderful mormor (grandma) that I love so dearly, just turned 93 and I made a special card for her.
I found this cute picture of her in a long lost box and wanted to use it to build my card around. In the picture she's holding a little sweet dog named Max, and funny enough that's also the name of one of her two great grandchildren, my nephew Maxwell.

I used the gorgous paper from Pion Design; Minnenas atelje, and also cut out the butterflies and text from one of their papers. The swirl is from Prima, the ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, feather leaf and pin from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pen embellishment is Tim Holtz and the twine from private stash. The crochet flowers are from Panduro, I can't remember where I got the watch face, just that I got it on eBay.
This was my first attempt on an easel card, and I love the fold. There'll be more of these coming!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Truly Scrumptious - Decorate the inside
Allsorts Chall. blog - Flowers & Swirls
Color Create Chall. - pink, brown, cream and white
Craft your passion - Use the 'F' word; flowers, family, feather
Creative Belli Blog - String
One Stitch at a Time - Anything goes
The Stamp Man - Monochromatic + one color ( blue)
Top Tip Tuesday - Birthday Time!

Beautiful Tessa

I'm such a lucky person, because I'm blessed with the worlds most incredible niece and nephew. This is a LO of my gorgeous niece and already at 15 you can see her beauty and strength.
She read from the bible at the ceremony when we got married, and was the toastmaster during the dinner reception - and what a job she did!

I wanted to do a LO of her in her beautiful dress.

I actually don't remember where the papers are from, (I have to get better at keeping the name strip!) but the flower stem and most of the other flowers are from Prima, eccept the purple roses, they are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The journaling card behind the picture is also Prima, the punches are Martha Stewart, and the butterfly with bling on is Bo Bunny.

I'm entering this LO in the following challenges:

Die Cut Dreams - Flower Power
Do You Stack Up - Texture
One Stitch at a Time - Anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Things with wings
The Stamp Man - Monochromatic plus one color

Love LO

After spending last Saturday at a workshop with Ingvild Bolme, (you can see the result in my last post) I got so inspired to make something using the techniques I had learned. Here is the result.
It is a beautiful picture from our wedding, and I felt it deserved the beautiful papers from Pion Design; Minnenas Atelje, I love the monocromatic look in the beautiful greyish pink color.

The flowers are Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts, the diecut swirls are from Nille, colored with Ranger dabber Pebble and crackle accent, and the gear is Tim Holtz. The butterflies are cutouts from more of Minnenas Atelje paper, the tag from a piece of clothing I bought, the swirl is Prima Say it in pearls and the letters are Lost & Found.

I'm entering this LO in the following challenges:

Kort 'o' Mania - Utfordring 46, bånd/ribbon
Papertake Weekly - Anything goes
Scrappekammeret - Monochromatisk
The Shabby Tea Room - Pink Wedded Bliss

Workshop with Ingvild Bolme!

I have had the most amazing and creative Saturday in a long time!
I spent the day in Uddevalla at a workshop with Ingvild Bolme, hosted by the sweet girls at CountryScrap
Ingvild Bolme is an incredibly talented, creative and really sweet designer on Prima's designteam, and also now a product designer for Prima. The new tools that she has designed, and that we had a chance to play with, are incredible! Ergonomic and super practical at the same time and at a good price!
Her Distressing Tool is great to work with and has a rough file/scraper, a smooth file, a bone folder, a metal brush and a paper edge scraper - all in one!!

She shared so much of her ideas and helped us to make two incredible lay outs!

I'm posting them here, and of course not entering them in any challenges - they are not my designs, but they sure did come out GREAT!

Thank you Ingvild!!!

Here's the first LO we made, using gorgous papers, flowers, trinkets, stamp and embellishments from Prima.

Here's the second one we made, also here using papers, flowers, chalks, letters and embellishments from Prima.
