Grumpy old men...

Jeg har det vel som de fleste andre kortlagere jeg kjenner; jeg synes det kan være en utfordring å lage bursdagskort til menn, kanskje spesielt til menn som er godt over 60... 
Denne gangen var det min blivende svigerfar som fylte år, og utfordringen lå i å prøve å være litt morsom, men kanskje ikke for mye..  Han likte kortet godt! 
Cardstock er Bazill og designpapir nytt fra Basic Grey "Marjolaine" Collection Pack. Bokstavene er også derfra. Alle kantene er svertet med Distress Black Soot. Motivet og det norske tekststempelet er fra Kreativ Hobby. Swirlen er fra Magnolia, båndet fra eget stæsj.
Jeg fant malen til dette kortet i det siste nummeret av "Ett trykk".

I guess I'm like most cardmakers I know; I find it challenging to make birthday cards to men, especially men over 60...

This time it was my father-in-law to be who was celebrating his birthday, and the challenge was to try to be a little bit funny, just not to much.. Well, he liked it a lot! 

The cardstock is Bazill and the designpaper is new from Basic Grey; "Marjolaine" Collection Pack. The letters are from there as well. All the edges are distressed with Distress Black Soot. The motive and the square text stamp are from Kreativ Hobby, the swirl from Magnolia and the ribbon from private stash. The round text stamp I honestly don't remember where I got.

I found the template to this card in the last issue of "Ett Trykk"

The text on the square stamp is Norwegian and translates: "Remember! If you want to look 10 years younger, you must remember to turn of the light."
The round stamp is Swedish and translates: "Happy birthday."

Valentines Day!

Endelig kom dagen da jeg kunne lage det ultimate kjærlighetskortet/gaven til min elskede! Jeg skal innrømme at jeg brukte litt ekstra tid - og koste meg veldig!
Esken er fra Søstrene Grene, men lokket passet ikke når papiret kom på, så jeg måtte endre litt på det. Jeg malte esken med Gesso og har brukt papir fra Nille og Basic Grey utenpå og inni. Kortet på lokket er Bazill med designpapir fra Nille. 
Motivet og hjertestempelet er fra Magnolia, bånd og metallhjerte fra Panduro og filthjerte fra Scrappiness. Motivet er malt med Copics, bakgrunn sprayet med Copic AirBrush. 
Kantene på tekstdelen er stemplet med Inkido sitt flotte swirlstempel. Båndet i sløyfen er fra The Ribbon Girl, opprinnelig hvitt, men farget med Distress stempelpute.

Finally the day came when I could make the ultimate love card for my sweetheart!
I have to admit I did use my time - and really enjoyed myself!
The box is from Søstrene Grene, but the lid didn't fit when I put the papers on, so I had to alter it a bit. I painted the box with Gesso and used design paper from Nille and Basic Grey. The card part on the lid is Bazill cardstock with design paper from Nille.
The motive stamp is from Magnolia's new collection, and the love heart is Magnolia too. Ribbons and the black metall heart is from Panduro, the felt heart from Scrappiness.
I painted Tilda with Copics, and spayed the background with my Copic AirBrush.
The swirls on the text part is from Inkido, the ribbon in the bow from The Ribbon Girl, once white, now colored with my Distress inkpad.

Weddingbells are ringing...

Endelig får jeg lagt ut ett kort igjen, etter en herlig uke i Spania med min kjære og en ikke fullt så herlig uke i sengen med streptokokker i halsen.. :(   Nå må jeg være på bedringens vei, for nå hører jeg pc'n kalle..

Now I finally get to post something again, after a wonderful week in Spain with my Man, and a not so wonderful week in bed with a strep throath infection out of this world :( Well, I must be getting better, 'cause the computer's calling my name again! :)

Jeg fikk en utfordring av min kjære venninne Kathrine for noen uker siden om å lage et bryllupskort og den tok jeg gjerne. Jeg har ikke veldig mange bryllupsstempler og hadde lyst til å prøve noe nytt, og da jeg innså at de fleste av de stemplene jeg har var brukt på ett NYDELIG trappekort i siste nummer av Ett trykk kom scraplifteren frem i meg...

I got a challenge from a friend to make a wedding card, and loved it, and when the last edition of Ett trykk came, with a card that was both challenging and new for me, and had all the same stamps I have - the scraplifter in me woke up!

Jeg har brukt cardstock fra Bazill og designpapir fra Panduro og Nille. Diesene er Spellbinders og puncher fra Martha Stewart, Fiskars og EKSuccess. Stemplene er Whipper Snapper og er embosset med Ranger Embossing Pearl 'Silver'. Tekststemplene er fra Stempelglede. Swirlstempelet er Magnolia. Blomstene og pins fra Wild Orchid Crafts. Det nydelige rosebåndet har jeg kjøpt på Bikuben, de andre båndene fra privat stæsj. Kanter svertet med Archival Ink 'Coffee' og Distress 'Tattered Rose'.

I'm not entering this card in any competitions, because I really don't feel that it's my design. I've scraplifted to much for that, and I really compliment Ruth Ørsal for her  inspiration and beautiful card in the last edition of Ett trykk!

Trucker..

Min samboers svoger fylte 30, og han har en STOOR lastebil! Jeg lekte lenge med tanken på å lage ett spesielt kort til ham, og siden jeg har et dårlig utvalg av lastebilstempler, fikk jeg ideen om å finne ett bilde av hans egen lastebil, endre den i redigeringsprogrammet piknic, og fargelegge den i orginalfarger med Copics. Resultat synes jeg ble veldig kult!
Kortet er ett brettekort som jeg har funnet oppskriften til her på StampARTic.

My boyfriends brother-in-law turned 30, and he has a HUGE truck! I had an idea for a long time to make a special card for him, and since my selection of truck stamps is rather limited, I got the idea to find a picture of HIS truck, edit it in Piknic and then color it in the original colors with Copic markers. The result turned out really cool!
The card is a folding card that I got the tutorial for here at StampARTic.
The cardstock is Paper Adventures 2Tones "Licorice"and Bazill, Design paper from Nille, EK Success "Harley Davidson" and Basic Grey. Dies from Spellbinders. Edges are distressed with Distress ink Black Soot. The stamp on the inside is Henry the mouse from Whiff of Joy, also colored with Copics. The ribbon was a gift from my friend Hege.

Challenging myself..

Ett nytt nummer av Ett trykk dukket opp i postkassen min, og der stod massevis av oppskrifter på brettekort som jeg har hatt lyst til å lage lenge! Det var bare å sette igang. Med nettet fullt av herlige utfordringer, fant jeg ut at jeg kanskje kunne kombinere ett par skisser i ett og samme kort? Vet ikke om det er lov, men jeg forsøker.

Jeg vet ikke hvor mønsterpapiret er fra, jeg har hatt det lenge. Stemplene er begge herlige Tilda fra Magnolia, begge malt med Copics. Den supersøte billett/tagen på forsiden er en freebie fra søte Michele Roos. Alle diesene er Spellbinders og både dies og kanter har fått en runde med Distress Black Soot. Swirl stempelet er fra Magnolia, blomster fra Wild Orchid Crafts og Kort & Godt. Bånd fra Bikuben og privat samling.

A new number of  Ett trykk came in my mailbox the other day, and it had a number of tutorials on folding cards that I've been wanting to make for a long time. So now there was no time to spare! With the web full of wonderful challenges, I had an idea that I wanted to combine two sketches in one card, although I really don't know it it's accepted? I'm trying anyway and no matter what; I'm really happy with my card! (Patting myself on my shoulder here! )
I don't remember where the patterned paper is from, I've had it for a long time now. The stamps are beautiful Tilda from Magnolia, both colored with Copic markers. De supercute ticket tag is a freebie from the sweet Michele Roos. All the dies are Spellbinders, and both dies and edges got distressed with Distress Black Soot. The swirl stamp is from Magnolia, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts og Kort & Godt. Ribbons from private stash and Bikuben.

Lili, flowers and fun colors

De siste dagene har jeg kost meg med en kombinasjon av tre utfordringer; en skisse fra Lili of the valley, Truly Scrumptious med fargekombinasjonen brun, rosa og grønn og Kort o Mania med eventyrtema.
Dette vakre stempelet fra Lili of the valley kom i postkassen i forrige uke og det var en glede og fargelegge med Copics. Swirlstempelet inni er fra Inkadinkado.
Både firkant og swirl dies'ene er også helt nye og fra Quickutz, mens papirene har ligget fra jeg begynte med scrapping og er fra Nille.
Det grønne båndet er fra Søstrene Grene, og det rosa/brune vet jeg ikke. Blomstene er stanset ut med EKsuccess puncher. Jeg forsøkte meg med Inkssentials Glossy accent på Swirlen, med blandet hell. Har ikke helt fått dreisen på den enda.... :)

The last few days I have enjoyed myself with the combination of three challenges; a sketch from Lily of the valley, Truly Scrumptious with the color combo brown, pink and green and Kort o Manias fantasy theme.
This beautiful stamp from Lili of the valley came in my mailbox last week, and it's been a true pleasue to color her with Copics. The swirl stamp inside is from Inkadinkado.
Both the square and the swirl dies is also brand new from Quickutz, while the DP have been in my pile since I started scrapping, and they're from Nille.
The green ribbon's from Søstrene Grene, the brown/pink from somewhere... The flowerpunch is EKsuccess. I tried my luck with Inkssentials Glossy accent on the swirl, but the result was just so... Haven't quite figured out the trick with that yet... :)

Chocolate, teal and cream

En ny dag og nye utfordringer, og denne gangen har jeg kombinert Whiff of Joy sin utfordring med tema "Chocolate, teal and cream" med Sweet Sketch Wednesday sin  skisse.
Papiret er ett jeg er veldig glad i og har brukt mye, jeg har faktisk kjøpt det om og om igjen flere ganger;  CLOUD9DESIGN fra Fiskars.

A new day and new challenges and this time I have combined Whiff of Joy's challenge with the theme "Chocolate, Teal and Cream" with Sweet Sketch Wednesday's sketch of the week.
The paper I used is one of my favourites, that I've used a lot and restocked a few times; "Spice Bouquet" and "Cinnamon Stick" from CLOUD9DESIGN by Fiskars.
