Scraptastic; part 4

The next class in Belgium with Ania/Finnabair was so much fun. We got to play, spray, spritz, glue and paint with the amazing Silks and Artist Pigments from LuminArte, and using Prima's wonderful Mechanicals. The result was again - stunning! 

I love the way the framed horse turned out and I love all the things I learned about altering, adding and gluing. Great class!

Scraptastic 2013; part 2 and 3

So my recap of the events in Belgium last month continues, and here is more fun from the trip.

My second class on the first night was a 2 hrs class with sweet Carmen Roets, and the project was to alter a cigar box. 
We used Graphic 45 papers, a lot of black paint, some fussy cutting and some Tim Holtz stamps and the result is really really cool!
This was Carmens first scrap class, but she can rest assured that she was awesome! 

Wasn't this such an awesome way to alter a cigar box? 
I'm on my way to my attic to dig out the bag with old cigar boxes and boy am I going to have fun! 
After this class it was late and my hotel room called for me to get some much needed rest, after all I did get up at 03.30 that day….

My first class on Saturday was with Ania Dabrowska aka Finnabair. 

I had all together 3 classes with Ania.

(yes, I know - you're thinking AGAIN?, but I simply lovelovelove her classes, and many of the original classes I had signed up for got cancelled. Not that Ania's classes wasn't an amazing substitute! They truly were! )

The first class was a layout class using tea, and since the first time I heard about her tea stain coloring, I've wanted to take one of these classes. I love the effect from the tea, and this was definitely not my last project using it. I have to try this technique with different kind of teas, and especially the typical Norwegian "nypete" (rose hip tea) that has a wonderful red-pink color.

I'v been wanting to make a layout with an old picture of my great aunt and uncle that built the house that we now live in. I was always very close to them, and it's only right that their photo comes up on our wall.

 

Here's the layout all framed and ready for hanging. I love it so much!

Romantikk i ramme

Ideen til denne utrolig vakre rammen fikk jeg av søteste Yasmin, og jeg liftet som vanlig og koste meg skikkelig!

Papiret minner om fløyelstapet  med kraft bakgunn og all den deilige pynten er fra Prima, Tattered Angels, Kort&Godt, WOC, Making Memories og diverse Bikuben.  

I got the idea for this beautiful frame from the sweet Yasmin and I scraplifted it and enjoyed myself immensely! 

The paper reminds me of velvet wall paper with craft background and all the gorgous embellishments are from Prima, Tattered Angels, Kort&Godt, WOC, Making Memories and Bikuben.

Synes selv resultatet ble slående vakkert og får ikke sett nok på rammen der den står. :)

I really think the result is beautiful and can't stop looking at the frame. :)

Et lite stykke kjærlighet

Dette lille bildet lagde jeg i pur glede da jeg endelig hadde fått tilbake skapertrangen og hadde sååå lyst på noe nytt å henge på veggen. 

Jeg har laget en del store bilder med utgangspunkt i Tim Holtz sine lerret på 12"x12", men så kom disse små som med fire lerret tilsammen danner 12"x12" og jeg digger de! 

i made this little picture in pure joy of finally getting my creative juices flowing again and I really wanted something fun to hang on our wall. 

Igjen så brukte jeg en av mine favorittrammer fra Tattere Angels, en tag fra Chill of Norway, roseknopper fra WOC, og masse herlig Prima.

I've used one of my favourite  white frames from Tattered Angels, a tag from I Chill of Norway jacket, rode buds from WOC and lots of wonderful Prima.

Bildet ga meg skikkelig vårfølelse og jeg tro like gjerne til med puter, duk og blomster i samme fargeskala i stuen!

Alter; 60.

Min fantastiske lege, som jeg ikke vet hva jeg skulle gjort uten, fylte nylig 60 år og jeg ville så gjerne lage noe spesielt til henne i den anledning. 

Hun er i tillegg til å være en utrolig kompetent og dyktig lege, en utrolig flink kunstner og jeg hadde lyst til å lage ett lerret med ting som minner om henne. 

Da mine ukentlige besøk hos henne stort sett består av at hun gir meg injeksjoner mot smerter ville jeg ha med gamle sprøyter og medisin-etiketter. Jeg saumfarte eBay og fant flotte gamle ting som jeg bestilte og resultatet ble skikkelig kult. 

Stilen er fortsatt inspirert av nydelige Yasmin, og jeg har brukt hovedsakelig Prima og Tim Holtz produkter på et District Market lerret.

My incredible doctor, that I don't know how I would have managed without, turned 60 last week, and I wanted to make something special for her. She is, in addition to being an amazing and incredibly competent doctor, a talented artist, so I wanted to make a canvas for her to hang on the wall. 

My weekly visits to her is for injections against pain, so I thought it would be fun to get some antique syringes and medical items from eBay to add to my canvas.

The style is still inspired by beautiful Yasmin, and I used mainly Prima and Tim Holtz items.

Studenten!

Så var jammen tiden kommet - Jens sin datter Paula skulle ta studenten og vi ville gi henne noe personlig som hun kunne ha med seg videre i livet. Jeg hadde for lenge siden bestemt meg for å lage en tittekasse med små minner om henne, både fra hennes oppvekst og i dag. Resultatet ble en lekker Configurations boks full av små ting og detaljer fra hennes fortid og nåtid, og gaven fra oss er en Londontur senere i år. Det kommer til å bli utrolig koselig å reise med henne og lage herlige minner for fremtiden.

Finally the time had come for Jens' daughter Paula to graduate and we wanted to give her something personal that she could bring with her in the years to come. I had long ago decided on making a configuration box for her with little trinkets and memories from her past and present. The result was a beautiful box full of fun and sweet little things, and the present from us is a trip to London later this year. It's going to be so much fun to travel with her and make fun memories for the future.

Alter; Längtan

Min kjære svigerinne ville så gjerne gjøre noe spennende av ultrelydbildene av deres lille sønn, og spurte om jeg kunne tenke meg å lage noe til dem - og gjett om jeg ble glad. Det føltes som en utrolig tillitserklæring og jeg hadde en idè i bakhodet umiddelbart. Jeg ble så innmari forelsket i bildet som Yasmin lagde til Bikuben i anledning Tim Holtz-besøket i vinter og jeg visste at jeg ville scraplifte det nå. Resultatet ble utrolig flott og jeg var stolt og ydmyk da jeg endelig fikk overlevert det til mamman og pappan til Linus i dag.

My dear sister-in-law wanted to do something fun with the ultrasound pictures of their son, and she asked if I had the chance to make something with them - and boy was I happy. It felt like such an honor and I imideately had an ide ofwhat I wanted to do. I fell desperately in love with an alter that Yasmin made for Bikuben when Tim Holtz visited this winter, and I knew I wanted to scraplift that here. The result was really pretty and I was both humble and proud when I gave Linus' parents the picture today.

Nature's Garden Box

Jeg trengte en gaveeske til mammas bursdag og fant en solid og fin en i skapet som egnet seg perfekt til de lekre Nature's Garden papirene fra Prima. Jeg svertet kantene med Pumice Stone og så var det bare å klippe og lime! 

I needed a gift box for my mothers birthday and found a nice and sturdy one in the closet that would be perfect with the beautiful Nature's Garden papers from Prima. I inked the edges with Pumice Stone and started the fun!
