Album: Sommeren 2008

Jeg har fått fullstendig dilla på mini-album med tags og ikke minst ideene til den ufattelig spennende og inspirerende Clare med My Creative Spirit-kanalen på You Tube. 

Hun lager så fantastiske ting og legger ut suverene tutorials som er lette å følge og utrolig inspirerende! Her har jeg fulgt videoen "How to make an envelope pocket album" og jeg digger resultatet.

I am totally hooked on mini-albums with tags and not to mention the ideas from the incredibly talented and inspiring Clare with My Creative Spirit channel on YouTube. She make the most amazing things and posts great tutorials that are so easy to follow and just so inspiring! Here I've followed the "How to make an envelope album" and I love the result!

Card inspired by Yasmin!

Jeg fikk ett utrolig fint valentineskort av min supersøte kollega Yasmin, og jeg digget kortet og måtte bare prøve det samme. Vil du se mer av Yasmins flotte ideer så stopp innom her.

Størrelsen er definert av min nye favoritt die fra Spellbinders, formet som frimerke. Kartongen som er brukt er Bazzill, mønsterpapir er Crate Paper. Dies fra Tim Holtz er Weathered clock og Gadget gears, klokken malt med Crackle Paint og så svertet med Black Soot. Gadget Gears er farget med svart dabber, slipt og en runde med Vintage Photo pute, også den teknikken lånt av Yasmin. 

Tagen er laget av en Spellbinders die. Det norske templet og murveggen er fra Kort & Godt, de svenske husker jeg ikke hvor jeg kjøpte.

Seam Binding, snøre og knapp fra egne gjemmer.

I received a wonderful valentines card from my sweet colleague Yasmin and I loved it so much I just had to try out the style of it. I've used dies from Tim Holtz and Spellbinders, paper from Bazzill and Crate Paper and stamps from Kort & Godt.

Recycle and save...

Jeg fikk ideen til denne sparebøssen på en workshop i Uddavalla i sommer og jeg falt helt for ideen. Det er en super ide til for eksempel konfirmasjonsgave eller bare en liten oppmerksomhet.

Jeg brukte en av de små hermetikkboksene til mais, vasket den ren og lagde ett lokk i kartong.

Åpningen er akkurat så stor at du får ned en tier, og når boksen er full er det mer enn 1000 kroner på den.

I got the idea for this money box at a workshop last summer, and when the box is full it holds more than 1000 NOK/SEK. A great little gift.

LO; ..when in Paris..

Denne LO'en har jeg laget med bakgrunn i en skisse fra Swirlydoos eminente skissedesigner Beggahuna. Jeg hadde lyst til å bruke dette supersøte bildet av lille Tassen i Paris, hvor han 'nyter' sin espresso og macron, og skissen passet perfect til formålet. 

This LO was made after seeing a swirlydoos sketch, made by their emenient designer Beggahuna.

I wanted to use this super cute picture og Tassen in Paris, where he's 'enjoying' his espresso and macron.

I used a Bo Bunny design paper,  flowers, butterfly and picture mat from Prima, more flowers from Color me Crazy and Wild Orchid Carfts, stems from Petaloo, chippies from RW Lazer Cuts and Dusty Attic, fence and eiffel tower is Cricut dies, bird cage is a Marianne Design die. the small letters are Webster's and the big ones are My Mind's Eye.

Mormor 1924

My wonderful mormor (grandma) that I love so dearly, just turned 93 and I made a special card for her. 
I found this cute picture of her in a long lost box and wanted to use it to build my card around. In the picture she's holding a little sweet dog named Max, and funny enough that's also the name of one of her two great grandchildren, my nephew Maxwell.

I used the gorgous paper from Pion Design; Minnenas atelje, and also cut out the butterflies and text from one of their papers. The swirl is from Prima, the ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, feather leaf and pin from Wild Orchid Crafts, the pen embellishment is Tim Holtz and the twine from private stash. The crochet flowers are from Panduro, I can't remember where I got the watch face, just that I got it on eBay.
This was my first attempt on an easel card, and I love the fold. There'll be more of these coming!

Workshop with Ingvild Bolme!

I have had the most amazing and creative Saturday in a long time! 
I spent the day in Uddevalla at a workshop with Ingvild Bolme, hosted by the sweet girls at CountryScrap. 
Ingvild Bolme is an incredibly talented, creative and really sweet designer on Prima's designteam, and also now a product designer for Prima. The new tools that she has designed, and that we had a chance to play with, are incredible! Ergonomic and super practical at the same time and at a good price! 
Her Distressing Tool is great to work with and has a rough file/scraper, a smooth file, a bone folder, a metal brush and a paper edge scraper - all in one!!

She shared so much of her ideas and helped us to make two incredible lay outs!

I'm posting them here, and of course not entering them in any challenges - they are not my designs, but they sure did come out GREAT!

Gift box with tag

Min svogers datter skulle konfirmeres, og jeg ville lage en kombinasjon av kort og gaveeske. Det ble denne fine esken her, med ett kult stempel fra Kenny K. som jeg har fargelagt med Copics. Det herlige papiret er Maja Design, kjøpt på Scrappiness, dies er Spellbinders, bånd fra eget stash, perleswirl og sommerfugl fra Prima. De små blomstene er retro mini punch fra EKSuccess og de store er Prima. Tekst fra Mac. Kant punch fra Martha Stewart kantene er svertet med Distress ink Walnut Stain.

My brother-in-law's daughter was confirmed and I wanted to make a combo of card and giftbox. This cool box is the result, with a funky Kenny K stamp, colored with Copics. The wonderful papers are from Maja Design, bought at Scrappiness, dies are Spellbinders, ribbon from my privat stash, pearl swirl, butterfly and the big flowers are all Prima. The small retro flowers from my EKSuccess punch. Text was made on my Mac. Edge punch from Martha Stewart, and all the edges have been distressed with Distress ink Walnut Stain.

Love is in the air...

Jeg har vært på mitt første scrapbooking kurs, vi skulle lære å lage minialbum og fy søren så mye jeg lærte! En hel ny verden åpnet seg for meg og jeg kjenner at jeg er fullstendig hektet allerede. Det var 4 intensive timer med en utrolig dyktig kursleder på Creativica i Uddevalla, og jeg drar gjerne tilbake igjen!

I've been to my first scrapbooking class, our task was to make a mini album and boy did I learn a lot! A whole new world reveald itself for me and I can feel that I'm totally hooked. It was 4 intensive hour of information at Creativica in Uddevalla, Sweden and I'll go back any day!

Jeg lærte mer om stempling, vinduer, tags, lommer, overlays og det å sette sammen elementer.
Papirene er fra den nye Fika-serien til Maja Design.
