Christening and Cricut

Jeg lagde dette kortet til en jente som ville ha ett dåpskort til en liten gutt og hintet jeg fikk, utenom navn og dato, var biler.... Jeg tenkte jeg skulle finne ut hva Cricuten min kunne gjøre, og her er resultatet.


I made this fun card for someone who wanted a card for a christening of a little boy, and the hints I got other than the name and date were cars... I wanted to se what fun things I can make with my Cricut and here is the result.

Jeg lagde konvelutten, kortet, bokstavene og bilen med Cricuten. Stempelet, som jeg ikke husker hvor jeg har fra, er fargelagt med Copics og kuttet ut med en Spellbinders die. Tagen og skrivefeltet er også laget med Spellbinders. Swirlen er en Magnolia die. Kartongen er Bazill og designpapirene er Papirdesign og Maja. Rose fra Wild Orchid Crafts og charm fra kuttut.no. Rammen er fra Kort & Godt og teksten inne er utdrag fra Papirdesign arket. Sølvbånd fra egne gjemmer og det blå båndet fra The Ribbon Girl.

I made the envelope, card, letters and car with my Cricut. The stamp, that I can't remember where I got, is colored with Copics and cut out with Spellbinders die. The tag and the journaling card is also Spellbinders dies. The swirl die is Magnolia. The cardstock is Bazill and the designpapers are Maja Design and Papirdesign. The rose from Wild Orchid Crafts and the charms from kutttut.no. The frame is Kort & Godt and the text inside a cut out from Papirdesign. The silver ribbon from private stash and the blue from The Ribbon Girl.

Birthday bears!

Her er ett kort jeg lagde for ganske lenge siden, men som jeg har glemt å legge ut.
Det var en bestilling på et bursdagskort til en søt venninne, og selv om det ikke ble så maskulint som jeg hadde tenkt meg, så ble det ok. jeg spurte hva hans interesser var og det var henne og fotball, og da ble de kjærlighet i fokus.. :)


Here's a card I made quite a long time ago, but I've forhotten to post it.
I got another request for a birthday card, this time for a guy who's main interest should be his oh so sweet girlfriend! Therefor I made a card full of love and with a tiny little football so one other hobby also was present.. ;)

Dad's album #5; Daddy Cool

Her en enda en LO fra albumet jeg lagde til pappa i sommer; her en LO av pappa med ett bilde som er tatt for en del år siden. Jeg har brukt begge sidene på to forskjellige 2-sidige mønsterark fra Papirdesign; "Pappa" og "Treverk". Blomstene er Color me Crazy, den ene farget med Copics og så stemplet med tekst. Hjertet diesen er QK på rød Bazill som så har fått en runde med Glossy Accent. Label diesen er en utgått Spellbinders, bånd fra Panduro, bokstaver fra egne gjemmer, kantpunch fra MS og perlebrad fra Scrappiness.

Here's a LO of my father, with a picture that's taken a few years ago. The pattern paper is 2 different 2-sided papers from Papirdesign "Pappa" and "Treverk". The flower is a Color Me Crazy, colored with Copics and then stamped. The heart die is QK on red Bazill with a coat of Glossy Accent and the label die is Spellbinders (retired), the ribbon is Panduro and the letters are from private stash. The edge punch is MS and the pearl brad is from Scrappiness.

Lilla femman

Min kjæres lillesøster fylte år og jeg lagde ett kort som ble like søtt og vakkert som henne. Hun er minst i en søskenflokk på fem og blir dermed kalt Lilla Femman.

Utfyllende oppskrift på kortet kommer senere, da jeg ikke husker alt nå.

My hubby's little sister celebrated her birthday and I made a card that turned out just as sweet and beautiful as her. She's the youngest of five siblings and is therefor called Lilla Femman, which meens Little five.

The full recipe will come later, I can't seem to remember much right now. :-/

Summertime at SMI

Dette kortet lagde jeg til de fantastiske legene og sykepleierene på SMI, uten dem ville ikke livet vært så godt som det er... :)

 This is a card I made for the wonderful doctors and nurses at SMI. Without them life wouldn't be as good as it is... :)

Jeg har brukt den herlige sommerserien til Maja Design, ett utrolig kult stempel fra Paper Makeup Stamps, fargelagt med Copics. Swirl diesen er min favoritt Doohickey fra Magnolia og swirl stempelet er også derfra. Bokstavene er Basic Grey, retro blomster punch er EKSucces, charm fra kuttut og sommerfugl fra Nille. Bånd er fra Panduro. /

 

I've used the lovely summer papers from Maja Design, a great stamp from Paper Makeup Stamps, colored with Copics. The swirl die is my favorite Magnolia DooHickey and the swirl stamp is also Magnolia, the letters are from Basic Grey, retro flower punch from EKsuccess, charm from kuttut.no and butterfly from Nille. The ribbons are from Panduro.

Dette kortet bringer med seg sommerens varme inn i den kalde novmber dagen / This brings back the warmth of summer in cold November.

Pink and pretty

Another request for a christening card, this time for a little girl and all pink was wanted. 

The stamp is a beautiful one from Whiff of Joy, the cardstosk is Bazill, the designpapers from Nille, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima, the charms from kuttut.no and the ribbon from Bikuben. The dies are Spellbinders and the retro flower punch EKsuccess.

40 yrs of marriage!

My friends parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and I made a card for the occation. Inspired by the ever so talented Yasmin, you can find her blog here, and the wonderful Fleur, her blog is here, I made this card. I love the way Fleur uses the Marianne design English roses, so I had to borrow some inspiration there.

One of the things I'm really happy with here is the coloring. I feel that I'm starting to get a hang of my Copics and I love the colors I used.

I made an easel card and used the lovely papers from Maja Design and xxx. Cardstock is TH Adirondack. The motiv is from Lily of the Valley and as I said, colored with Copics. The dies for the flowers and leaves is Marianne design, the swirl die is my all time favorite Doohickey from Magnolia. I used some cheesecloth behind the motiv and cut out the numbers on the Cricut with the "Plantin Schoolbook" cartridge. The label inside is made with a new Cuttlebug die cut-and-emboss set.

The text inside translates: "We don't find happiness, we create it."

Well, I might have found me a new favorite Doohickey; this set of labels that i use for my signature stamp are just adorable and so versatile.

The cool neighbor!

Our wonderful neighbor in Sweden just turned 80, and a fun card was at it's place. He is so funny and cool, so I had to make a card to match his spirit.

I used a quarter of a paper that I don't remember the brand of, a bit of cardboard dabbed with Adirondack Snow Cap. The dies are Marianne and Magnolia and a die cut from Cricut "Heritage" cartridge. The numbers and letters are Cricut "Plantin Schoolbook" and the flower Prima. I used an image from Kreativ Hobby, colored with Copics. 
 

The text stamp inside is also from KH and it says: 
"Remember! If you want to look 10 yrs younger, you have to turn off the light!"

Suitcase full of gratitude.

I've talked about this amazing girl before, my sweet sweet niece, and this time it was her "confirmation" day. She is such a mature and loving person and not at all like any other 15 year old I know, and she decided that the gifts was not a good enough reason to have a confirmation, (and here in Norway, that's pretty much the only reason people do it - I know that was my reason once upon a time...)
So the family decided that a better reason to throw a party is hard to find. She gave it up for all the right reasons and because of that she deserved it even more.
She was also the toastmaster at our wedding 1 month ago and we wanted to give her something as a thank you from us. 
We got her a gift certificate and I made a suitcase to put it in, a hard challenge, but really fun too.

I found the totorial for this amazing little gem in the last issue of the Magnolia Ink Magazine. I've used cardstock from Biltema and design papers from Papirdesign. The motif on the outside is Lily of the Valley, colored with Copics. Inside is a mini Magnolia, also colored with Copics. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and Prima. The dies used are Spellbinders. Embellishments are from Kort og Godt, Tim Holtz and Scrappiness. Bling swirl is Prima and butterfly punch is EKSuccess.

Sweet 18!

LONG TIME NO SEE!

A summer filled with getting married in Spain in May, getting a little puppy in July and a big wedding party in August sure makes time fly, but now I'm back!!

My husbands daughter turned 18 this summer and we decided to chose one image each. I picked the one on the front of the card, and he picked the one inside... :-D
I think the card turned out beautiful and personal.

Here I've used cardstock from Bazill and design papers from Bo Bunnys Gabrielle Collection. All the edges are distressed with Walnut Stain. The gorgous stamp on the outside is from Whiff of Joy and the one inside is Lily of the Valley, both colored with Copics. The butterfly punch is from Martha Stewart, flower punch EKSuccess, banner die Tim Holtz and the other dies Spellbinders. Fabric flowers from Prima, pins from Søstrene Grene, numbers are Tim Holtz grungeboard, colored with gesso and ink. Tim Holtz ticket, brads from Nille and Scrappiness. The watch face charm is from The Girls Paperie and I got it on eBay.

Gift box with tag

Min svogers datter skulle konfirmeres, og jeg ville lage en kombinasjon av kort og gaveeske. Det ble denne fine esken her, med ett kult stempel fra Kenny K. som jeg har fargelagt med Copics. Det herlige papiret er Maja Design, kjøpt på Scrappiness, dies er Spellbinders, bånd fra eget stash, perleswirl og sommerfugl fra Prima. De små blomstene er retro mini punch fra EKSuccess og de store er Prima. Tekst fra Mac. Kant punch fra Martha Stewart kantene er svertet med Distress ink Walnut Stain.

My brother-in-law's daughter was confirmed and I wanted to make a combo of card and giftbox. This cool box is the result, with a funky Kenny K stamp, colored with Copics. The wonderful papers are from Maja Design, bought at Scrappiness, dies are Spellbinders, ribbon from my privat stash, pearl swirl, butterfly and the big flowers are all Prima. The small retro flowers from my EKSuccess punch. Text was made on my Mac. Edge punch from Martha Stewart, and all the edges have been distressed with Distress ink Walnut Stain.

Fairy Tilda

Her er den andre bestillingen jeg fikk, også dette kortet for min søte venninne Elisabeth, denne gangen ett kort til sin søster 40. fødselsdag. Hun ønsket feer og engler, og resten var opp til meg. jeg kjente sommervarmen og følte at varme, klare gule farger var tingen her.

This is the second request I got, also this from my sweet friend Elisabeth, this time for her sisters 40th birthday. She wanted fairies and angels, and the rest was up to me. I was feeling the heat of summer, and warm bright yellow colors came to mind.

Dies er Spellbinders, bursdagstekst er Norsk Stempelblad, men teksten inni husker jeg ikke hvor jeg kjøpte. Tall er Making Memories og bokstaver er Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type.
De små blomstene er retro punch mini fra EKSuccess og halvperlene er fra Nille. Charms fra Kuttut, bånd fra eget stash og pin fra The Ribbon Girl.
